Performance Evidence
Evidence is required to be collected that demonstrates a candidate’s competency in this unit. Evidence must be relevant to the roles within this sector’s work operations and satisfy all of the requirements of the performance criteria of this unit and include evidence that the candidate:
locates and applies relevant documentation, policies and proceduresimplements the requirements, procedures and techniques for the safe, effective and efficient conducting of non-slewing crane operations including:planning and preparing to operate the non-slewing craneidentify, address and report, verbally or in writing, monitoring systems and alarmsaccessing, interpreting and applying technical information selecting and using relevant tools and equipmentworks effectively with others to undertake and complete the operation of non-slewing cranes that meets all of the required outcomes including:using a range of communication techniques and equipment to convey information to othersperforming multiple crane lifts under the supervision of an authorised personsupporting operators in carrying out major maintenance tasksmaintaining written and verbal reporting requirements and proceduresdemonstrates completion of conducting non-slewing crane operations that safely, effectively and efficiently meets all of the required outcomes on more than one (1) occasion including:operating the non-slewing cranecarrying out pre-start, start-up, park-up and shut-down proceduresidentifying and interpreting signalsperforming servicing, lubricating and housekeeping tasks
